Indiana High School Football - New Palestine held off by Decatur Central

August 25, 2023: Indianapolis, IN 46221

Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN), 43-42 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Decatur Central improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Whiteland (Whiteland, IN) to battle the Warriors in a Mid-State test on Friday, September 1. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 1-1. Whiteland lost 27-13 in their recent non-league test against Kokomo (Kokomo, IN)

With the loss, New Palestine drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Dragons host Yorktown (Yorktown, IN) to battle the Tigers in a Hoosier Heritage test on Friday, September 1. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 2-0. Yorktown won 50-7 in their recent non-league test against Muncie Central (Muncie, IN)
