In Friday's non-league match, the host Holston Cavaliers football squad scored a big 41-8 victory over the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs.

In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 1. Holston will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Green Waves enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 46-12 non-league win over Auburn (Riner, VA).
