Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the host Iroquois Braves (Erie, PA), 31-28 in a non-league test.

With the win, Mercer improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Reynolds (Greenville, PA) to confront the Raiders in a District 10 Region 1 test on Friday, September 1. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 1-0. Reynolds won 44-6 in their recent non-league test against Union City (Union City, PA)

With the loss, Iroquois moves to 0-1 on the season. The Braves travel to Maplewood (Guys Mills, PA) to confront the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, September 1. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 0-1. Maplewood lost 26-13 in their recent league test against Saegertown (Saegertown, PA)
