The Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) football routed the visiting Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS), 41-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Gators clash with the Kosciusko Whippets (Kosciusko, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Leake Central will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Whippets enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 20-18 non-league win over Kemper County (DeKalb, MS).
