The Vincent Yellow Jackets (Vincent, AL) football defeated the host Ragland Purple Devils (Ragland, AL), 29-20 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets face the Winterboro Bulldogs (Alpine, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Vincent will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 33-7 non-league win over Cedar Bluff (Cedar Bluff, AL).

The Purple Devils (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Southeastern (Remlap, AL). The Mustangs enter the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
