The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC) and the visiting South Garner Titans (Garner, NC), observed Wake Forest's football squad thwart South Garner by a count of 31-21.

The Cougars now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Southeast Raleigh for a non-league contest on Friday, September 1. Wake Forest will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Wakefield (Raleigh, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-0.
