August 26, 2021: Jasper, IN 47546 In Thursday's league battle, the host Jasper Wildcats soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Evansville Harrison Warriors.
The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against New Albany (New Albany, IN). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, New Albany nudged Evansville Christian (Evansville, IN), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Game Summary

* Cats fell behind early, when Roman Bastidas made a great individual play, hitting a shot from 18 out in the 19th minute.
* Jasper battled back, tying the game on a goal from Moises Ortiz in the 26th minute. Jayden Boeglin created a turnover and had the assist on the play.

* Jasper created a bunch of opportunities early in the second half, but failed to find the net.
* The Cats finally took the lead in the 70th minute on a great run up the middle from Brandon Elizarraras.
