With the win, Jefferson County improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to William Blount (Maryville, TN) to confront the Governors in a 6A Region 1 test on Friday, September 2. The Governors go into the test with a record of 0-2. William Blount lost 42-14 in their recent non-league test against Karns (Knoxville, TN)

The Mountaineers go into the test with a record of 0-2. Heritage lost 46-28 in their recent non-league test against Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN)
