In Friday's non-league match, the host Mountain Island Charter Raptor football squad scored a good 30-17 victory over the Corvian Community Cardinals.

In their next game, the Raptor clash with the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 9. Mountain Island Charter will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

The Cardinals (0-2) will now prepare for their match against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Knights enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record.
