The East Union Lancers football team (Manteca, CA), was ripped 56-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Downey Knights (Modesto, CA)

The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Merced (Merced, CA). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Merced trounced Gregori (Modesto, CA), 33-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to McNair for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 2. East Union will meet a Eagles team coming off a 28-21 non-league win over Sacramento (Sacramento, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.
