In Friday's non-league match, the host Melba Mustangs football squad scored a good 38-26 victory over the Elko Indians.

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the North Fremont Huskies (Ashton, ID) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 3. Melba will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 24-22 non-league win over Bear Lake (Montpelier, ID).

The Indians (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Truckee (Truckee, CA). The Wolverines enter the 3A Northern - West match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Truckee ran past East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA), 19-14, in a non-league match.
