In Friday's league match, the host Hamlin Chargers football squad scored a big 52-12 victory over the St. Mary Cardinals.

In their next game, the Chargers clash with the Garretson Blue Dragons (Garretson, SD) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 2. Hamlin will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Blue Dragons enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 52-0 non-league loss to Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD).
