The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX) and the visiting Meridian Yellowjackets (Meridian, TX), observed Itasca's football squad bounce Meridian by a count of 58-0.

The Wampus Cats now own a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hubbard for a non-league contest on Friday, September 2. Itasca will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 28-6 non-league loss to Granger (Granger, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-1.
