The Longview Lobos (Longview, TX) football defeated the host Boyd Broncos (McKinney, TX), 36-10 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Lobos face the Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Longview will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Mavericks enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 40-29 non-league win over Tyler (Tyler, TX).
