The Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) football routed the visiting Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), 56-20 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Dragons face the Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Pekin will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 16-13 non-league win over North Linn (Troy Mills, IA).
