Georgia High School Softball - Locust Grove nudges Elbert County
August 26, 2022: Locust Grove, GA 30248 Locust Grove Wildcats (Locust Grove, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Whitewater for a non-league challenge on Monday, August 29. Locust Grove will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-1 league win over Troup County (LaGrange, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-0.
With the loss, Elbert County falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 26. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Hebron Christian Academy won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Westminster (Atlanta, GA)
