The Rusk Eagles topped the host Hughes Springs Mustangs volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Friday's non-league test.

The Eagles now have a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tatum for a non-league test on Friday, August 26. Rusk will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 20-4.

The Mustangs (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX). The Leopards go into the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Liberty-Eylau fell by Tyler (Tyler, TX), 2-1, in a non-league contest.
