The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Taft Raiders (San Antonio, TX) and the visiting McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX), saw Taft's volleyball squad nip McAllen by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 8-11 on the year. The Raiders host San Antonio Christian (San Antonio, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, August 26. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-8. San Antonio Christian won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Southside (San Antonio, TX)

The Bulldogs now own a 17-5 record. They play next when they travel to St. Agnes Academy for a non-league bout on Friday, August 26. McAllen will play a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Stratford (Houston, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 13-7.
