The Pen Argyl Green Knights thwarted the visiting Wilson Area Warriors football team by a count of 49-20 in Saturday's non-league outing.

With the win, Pen Argyl upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Green Knights host Mahanoy Area (Mahanoy City, PA) to encounter the Golden Bears in a non-league outing on Friday, September 1. The Golden Bears go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Mahanoy Area lost 17-14 in their recent non-league outing against Harriton (Rosemont, PA)

With the loss, Wilson Area moves to 0-1 on the season. The Warriors host Palisades (Kintnersville, PA) to encounter the Pirates in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 2. The Pirates go into the outing with a record of 0-1. Palisades lost 36-8 in their recent non-league outing against Bangor (Bangor, PA)
