The Summit Shasta Black Bears held off the visiting Balboa Buccaneers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Black Bears now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lincoln for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 29. Summit Shasta will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Windsor (Windsor, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-1.

The Buccaneers (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Jefferson (Daly City, CA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Jefferson was nudged by Pacific Bay Christian (Pacifica, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
