In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Burlington Grayhounds volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Centerville Big Reds/Redettes.

The Grayhounds (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA). The Golden Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Mid-Prairie nudged Washington (Washington, IA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
