The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Mill Creek Hawks (Hoschton, GA) and the host Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA), saw Mill Creek's volleyball squad nip Mount Vernon by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Mill Creek upgrades its record to 10-8 on the year. The Hawks host Brookwood (Snellville, GA) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 12-2. Brookwood won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Dacula (Dacula, GA)

The Mustangs now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to The Weber School for a 1A Area 6 bout on Tuesday, August 29. Mount Vernon will play a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Atlanta Classical Academy (Atlanta, GA). The Rams record now stands at 0-2.
