Kentucky High School Soccer - Martin County knocks off Shelby Valley
August 26, 2024: Pikeville, KY 41501 Fans at Monday's league battle between the Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) and the host Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY), saw Martin County's soccer squad triumph over Shelby Valley by a count of 10-0.
The Cardinals (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Belfry (Belfry, KY). The Pirates enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Belfry was overwhelmed by Pikeville (Pikeville, KY), 5-4, in a league battle.
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Paintsville Tigers (Paintsville, KY) in a District 57 battle, on Thursday, August 29. Shelby Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Morgan County (West Liberty, KY).
