August 26, 2024: Burgaw, NC 28425 Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), 1-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Pender advances its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Patriots host Richlands (Richlands, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Thursday, August 29. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 0-2. Richlands 1-1 in their recent non-league test against East Duplin (Beulaville, NC)
The Wildcats now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Midway for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 27. Hobbton will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 2-0.
