August 26, 2024: Falls Church, VA 22043 Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Oakton improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Woodson (Fairfax, VA) to face the Cavaliers in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. The Cavaliers go into the test with a record of 0-0.
The Statesmen now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Washington-Liberty for a non-league test on Wednesday, August 28. George C. Marshall will face a Generals squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Chantilly (Chantilly, VA). The Generals record now stands at 1-0.
