August 26, 2025: Thoreau, NM 87323 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) and the host Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), observed Gallup's volleyball team top Thoreau by a count of 2-0.
The Bengals (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Bernalillo achieved victory over Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Hawks now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kirtland Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 2. Thoreau will encounter a Broncos squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Broncos record now stands at 0-1.
