Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the West Davidson Dragons (Lexington, NC) and the visiting East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC), observed West Davidson's volleyball team top East Surry by a count of 2-0.

The Dragons (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Glenn (Kernersville, NC). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record. In their last test, Glenn was defeated by R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals meet the East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 28. East Surry will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to South Davidson (Denton, NC).
