In Friday's league game, the Desert Heights Prep Yote (Glendale, AZ) football team smashed the host Anthem Prep Eagles (Anthem, AZ), by a final score of 56-22.

The Yote (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Mountainside (Wittmann, AZ). The Wolves come into the 1A West (8 Man) game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Mountainside was trounced by El Capitan (Colorado City, AZ), 60-0, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tempe Prep for a non-league game on Friday, September 3. Anthem Prep will battle a Knights team coming off a 38-24 non-league loss to Bagdad (Bagdad, AZ). The Knights record now stands at 0-2.
