South Dakota High School Soccer - Spearfish nudges Yankton
August 27, 2022: Yankton, SD 57078 Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Yankton Bucks/Gazelles (Yankton, SD), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Spartans confront the Belle Fourche Broncs (Belle Fourche, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 6. Spearfish will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Broncs enter the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 7-0 league loss to More (Rapid City, SD).
The Bucks/Gazelles now possess a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host O'Gorman for a Class AA challenge on Thursday, September 1. Yankton will confront a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league win over Douglas/Rapid City Christian (Box Elder, SD). The Knights record now stands at 3-1.
