North Carolina High School Volleyball - East Mecklenburg can't hold off Legion Collegiate Academy

The East Mecklenburg Eagles volleyball team (Charlotte, NC), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers (Rock Hill, SC)

The Lancers (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Covenant Day (Matthews, NC). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Covenant Day nudged Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles encounter the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern 4A challenge, on Tuesday, August 30. East Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Butler (Matthews, NC).
