With the win, McIntosh County Academy upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Burke County (Waynesboro, GA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 27. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Burke County lost 2-1 in their recent league bout against New Hampstead (Savannah, GA)
The Spartans now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond County Technical Career Magnet for a 2A Area 4 bout on Tuesday, August 30. Glenn Hills will play a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Westside (Augusta, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-2.
