Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IN), 2-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Mt. Vernon advances its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Evansville Christian (Evansville, IN) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league test on Friday, August 30. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 3-0. Evansville Christian won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against South Knox (Vincennes, IN)

The Tigers now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Forest Park for a Pocket test on Thursday, August 29. Princeton will clash with a Rangers team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Providence (Clarksville, IN). The Rangers record now stands at 1-2.
