Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Brown County Hornets (Mt. Sterling, IL) and the visiting Routt Catholic Rockets (Jacksonville, IL), observed Brown County's volleyball team hold off Routt Catholic by a count of 2-1.

The Hornets (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Illini West (Carthage, IL). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Illini West was tipped by Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL), 2-1, in a non-league contest.
