August 27, 2025: Apex, NC 27502 The Apex Cougars football squad scored 28 points and held the visiting Fuquay - Varina Bengals to 0 in the Cougars non-league victory on Wednesday.
In their next game, the Cougars face the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Apex will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Golden Hawks enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 57-2 non-league win over Wakefield (Raleigh, NC).
The Bengals (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Triton (Erwin, NC). The Hawks come into the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Triton was defeated by Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC), 22-16, in a non-league test.
