Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI) followers went home pleased Wednesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Grosse Pointe North Norsemen (Grosse Pointe, MI), 24-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Utica advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Chieftains travel to Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI) to encounter the Titans in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. The Titans go into the battle with a record of 0-1.
