Michigan High School Football - Mott thwarted by Walled Lake Northern
August 27, 2025: Commerce, MI 48382 Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI), 18-8 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Walled Lake Northern improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Lakeland (White Lake, MI) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 4. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Lakeland lost 33-6 in their recent non-league challenge against South Lyon (South Lyon, MI)
The Corsairs (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Milford (Highland, MI). The Mavericks come into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Milford knocked off Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI), 33-6, in a non-league test.
