North Carolina High School Soccer - South Caldwell nudges Ashe County
August 27, 2025: West Jefferson, NC 28694 Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) and the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), saw South Caldwell's soccer squad hold off Ashe County by a score of 2-1.
The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, West Caldwell was edged by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 6-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Huskies confront the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Ashe County will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 3-3 non-league Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC).
