August 27, 2025: Brooklet, GA 30415 Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (Brooklet, GA), 7-3 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Wayne County improves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Yellow Jackets host Appling County (Baxley, GA) to battle the Pirates in a non-league match on Tuesday, September 2. The Pirates come into the match with a record of 4-2. Appling County won 8-0 in their recent league match against Pierce County (Blackshear, GA)
In their next game, the Yellow Jackets play the Liberty County Panthers (Hinesville, GA) in a 3A Region 3 game, on Thursday, August 28. Southeast Bulloch will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Panthers enter the game with a 7-5 record after their 17-1 league win over Islands (Savannah, GA).
