Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Chelsea Bulldogs (Chelsea, MI) and the host New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI), observed Chelsea's volleyball team top New Lothrop by a count of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Tecumseh (Tecumseh, MI). The Indians enter the South Eastern - White battle with a 4-1 record.

The Hornets now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montrose for a Mid-Michigan Athletic battle on Thursday, September 4. New Lothrop will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI). The Rams record now stands at 0-1.
