Georgia High School Softball - Jefferson gets by Oconee County
August 28, 2023: Jefferson, GA 30549 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA) and the visiting Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA), witnessed Jefferson's softball squad tip Oconee County by a count of 7-6.
The Dragons now sport a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Heritage for a 5A Region 8 match on Tuesday, August 29. Jefferson will face a Patriots squad coming off a 4-2 league loss to Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, Oconee County moves to 1-7 on the season. The Warriors travel to Social Circle (Social Circle, GA) to face the Redskins in a non-league match on Wednesday, August 30. The Redskins go into the match with a record of 7-4. Social Circle won 6-4 in their recent non-league match against Jones County (Gray, GA)
