August 28, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87110 The Sandia Matadors football squad scored 23 points and limited the visiting Hope Christian Huskies to 8 in the Matadors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Matadors now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cleveland for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 4. Sandia will clash with a Storm squad coming off a 56-6 non-league win over Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Storm record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Hope Christian drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league test on Monday, September 16. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 0-1.
