The Bergenfield Bears football team (Bergenfield, NJ), was topped 14-6 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host New Milford Knights (New Milford, NJ)

The Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lyndhurst (Lyndhurst, NJ). The Golden Bears enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Lyndhurst was outscored by Westwood (Washington Township, NJ), 34-14, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Bears confront the Paramus Spartans (Paramus, NJ) in a Super - Patriot Blue battle, on Saturday, September 6. Bergenfield will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 44-13 non-league loss to West Milford (West Milford, NJ).
