The Franklin Patriots football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Berkley Bears to 7 in the Patriots non-league victory on Thursday.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Glenn Rockets (Westland, MI) in a Kensington Lakes - East challenge, on Friday, September 5. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Rockets enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 13-7 non-league loss to River Rouge (River Rouge, MI).

With the defeat, Berkley drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bears host Oak Park (Oak Park, MI) to clash with the Knights in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5. The Knights come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Oak Park lost 17-12 in their recent league outing against Farmington (Farmington, MI)
