Virginia High School Football - Deep Run tops Mechanicsville
August 28, 2025: Glen Allen, VA 23059 The Deep Run Wildcats football squad scored 31 points and limited the visiting Mechanicsville Mustangs to 10 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Wildcats now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Atlee for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. Deep Run will face a Raiders team coming off a 21-20 non-league loss to Freeman (Richmond, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Goochland was defeated by Nottoway (Nottoway, VA), 31-13, in a non-league test.
