Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Passaic Indians (Passaic, NJ), 15-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Hackensack advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Comets host Kennedy (Paterson, NJ) to confront the Knights in a non-league match on Friday, September 5. The Knights come into the match with a record of 0-0.

The Indians now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Passaic will play a Warriors team coming off a 24-14 non-league loss to Hammonton (Hammonton, NJ). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
