California High School Football - La Serna thwarted by Schurr
August 28, 2025: Whittier, CA 90605 Schurr Spartans (Montebello, CA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host La Serna Lancers (Whittier, CA), 29-13 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Schurr improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Spartans host San Gabriel (San Gabriel, CA) to meet the Matadors in a match on Wednesday, October 1. The Matadors come into the match with a record of 0-0.
Coming up next, the Lancers meet the Crean Lutheran Saints (Irvine, CA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 18. La Serna will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
