August 28, 2025: Indian Trail, NC 28079 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the visiting Ardrey Kell Knights (Charlotte, NC), witnessed Porter Ridge's football squad knock off Ardrey Kell by a tally of 24-16.
The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC). The Titans enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, West Forsyth was outscored by Grimsley (Greensboro, NC), 40-27, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Knights confront the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 4. Ardrey Kell will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 45-0 non-league win over Ballantyne Ridge (Charlotte, NC).
