August 28, 2025: Mount Airy, NC 27030 The Mount Airy Granite Bears felled the visiting East Wilkes Cardinals football team by a score of 20-6 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Granite Bears play the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 4. Mount Airy will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Pioneers go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 13-6 non-league win over T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).
With the defeat, East Wilkes drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to North Iredell (Olin, NC) to meet the Raiders in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 0-2. North Iredell lost 37-8 in their recent non-league challenge against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)
