The Panthers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Suwannee for a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. Newberry will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 48-0 non-league loss to Florida State University High School (Tallahassee, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Gainesville moves to 0-1 on the season. The Hurricanes travel to Santa Fe (Alachua, FL) to face the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 25. The Raiders go into the challenge with a record of 1-0.
