August 28, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28401 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) and the visiting Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC), witnessed New Hanover's football squad knock off Purnell Swett by a tally of 13-0.
The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Carolina Forest gained a win over Hartsville (Hartsville, SC), 38-0, in a non-league contest.
Next up, the Rams encounter the Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 4. Purnell Swett will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
